The lift appears to be very well made and sturdy and I would recommend it. However, buyers need to beware that the instructions provided are terrible. A great deal is left unsaid, and the illustrations are either so small or so indistinct as to be almost useless. One instruction says to install certain bolts that are nowhere included in the assembly packages, and then you discover by accident that they were already installed at the factory. The illustrations and instructions for attaching vital control rods are little better than a guessing game. Worse of all is the statement that a 3-foot clearance on all sides is "recommended." Once the unit is completely assembled (and at 1,700 pounds almost impossible to move), you are instructed to insert a control rod in the head crossmember that requires at least a 4-foot clearance to insert in the proper holes!! If you didn't allow for that, you either have to find a forklift to move the whole thing out and back a foot or more, or else disassemble what you have by that time spent half a day or more assembling. Incredibly frustrating, and unnecessary if the manufacturer had taken a little more care.

I love the lift although the instructions are very vague.
